Support Iraq Body Count with a donation
Iraq is undergoing the worst period of sustained violence and civilian death since 2007.
After several years of violence at comparatively low levels, the annual civilian death toll in Iraq more than doubled from 2012 to 2013, and doubled again in 2014. Deaths in 2015 and 2016 remained at an elevated level, and 2017 is following the same pattern. Iraq Body Count is the only organisation in the world that has been publicly recording these deaths systematically and consistently since the 2003 invasion. Our work would not be possible without public support.
We continue to need your help to:
- bring and keep IBC's detailed records as up to date as possible
- broaden and deepen the coverage and analysis we can offer
- keep awareness of Iraqi casualties in the public eye
