Support Iraq Body Count with a donation
If you think IBC’s work recording Iraqi casualties is important, please donate to our running costs.
A regular monthly donation is the best way to support our work. With regular donations we can better plan how to develop as well as maintain IBC's record of Iraqi casualties.
All donations help IBC to record Iraqi casualties and keep them in the public eye.
Why we need your donations

IBC has also received restricted funding in the form of contracts and commissions, from the following:
Iraq Body Count (IBC) is the only publicly-accessible project that is systematically and transparently recording Iraqi deaths on an ongoing basis. We have six members of staff and need to hire more to keep up with the recently increased levels of violence in Iraq, and improve and extend our work. In addition we have running costs, including our web-servers and subscriptions to media databases.
Where our income comes from
Most of our funding has come from trusts and charities.1 We have received funding through specific research contracts, from universities, academics and foundations.
We are deeply grateful for every type of financial support received, but it has always fallen far short of the actual costs of the work. The project has only kept going because of very substantial long-term dedicated commitment from our team.
