Namir or Nameer Georgis

Mourners described Nameer as a faithful churchgoer. A kind and peaceful man, loved by all. Muslim friends turned out for the funeral, many of them Nameer's police comrades since he joined the force in 1983.

The pallbearers recited Koranic verses as they carried his coffin through the dust to its final resting place.
