A driver and a technician from the Iraqi public television channel, Al-Iraqiya, have been shot dead near the border with Syria, an official at the station said Sunday.

"The driver, Jawad Kassem Hamadi, and technician Abdel Karim Jassem went to Al-Qaim to install a relay station.
