Unknown armed men shot dead an Iraqi nuclear scientist in northeast of Baghdad on Tuesday, witnesses said.

Taleb Ibrahim al-Dhaher, a professor at Diyala University, was gunned down as he was driving his car to work at a crossing bridge in Baquba, some 65 km northeast of Baghdad, the witnesses said.
