An Iraqi trade ministry official was shot dead outside his home last week, Trade Minister Ali al-Allawi said Tuesday.

Hussein Abdul Fattah, the trade ministry's deputy director general for administration, was killed early Wednesday when gunmen riddled his car as it pulled out on the street.
